Estriol EP Impurity A, also designated Estriol Related Compound A and 9,11-didehydroestriol, is an oxygenated steroidal degradation product associated with estriol under oxidative and dehydrative stress conditions. This unsaturated estrogenic impurity, CAS 246021-20-5, has molecular formula C18H22O3 and molecular weight 286.37 g/mol. Structural loss of saturation in the C9-C11 region modifies the conjugated steroidal framework and may alter chromatographic polarity and UV response.
