264236-79-5: Celecoxib Carboxylic Acid Acyl-β-D-Glucuronide
It is one of impurity present in Celecoxib. Celecoxib is a selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, COX-2 is inflamed tissues, and it is induced by inflammatory mediators. inhibition of this enzyme reduces the synthesis of metabolites that include prostaglandin E2, prostacyclin, thromboxane, prostaglandin D2 and prostaglandin F2 inhibition of these mediators leads to the alleviation of pain and inflammation. Celecoxib poses less of an ulceration risk than other NSAIDS, owing to its decreased effect on gastric mucosal prostaglandin synthesis, which is used to treat osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, acute pain, and menstrual symptoms.
