FAQ
Does ganglioside have any anti-inflammatory properties?
A putative anti-inflammatory substance is ganglioside C. Prostaglandin E2 release inhibitor in mouse peritoneal macrophages. Reduces the oxidized OH adducts of dAMP and dGMP, demonstrating strong antioxidant action. some trypanocidal potential can be seen.
What is the use of ganglioside?
An important phenylpropanoid glycoside found in the traditional Chinese medicine Scrophulariae Radix, ganglioside C, also has anti-platelet aggregation, hepatoprotective, and anti-nephritis properties. It prevents ventricular remodeling, reduces pulmonary edema, and lowers blood pressure.
What is the mechanism of action of Angoroside?
Angoroside C has anti-inflammatory properties, and in a concentration-dependent manner, it may considerably suppress LPS-induced PGE(2), NO, and TNF-alpha. It also has cytotoxic and cytostatic effects on many cancer cell types. The favorable effects of ganglioside C on ventricular remodeling are likely due to its ability to reduce Ang II levels while attenuating the production of ET-1 and TGF-1 mRNA.
