Ethyl Dexmedetomidine is a process impurity of Dexmedetomidine which is a potent a2-adrenoceptor inhibitor with 8 times higher affinity for the a2 adrenoceptorthan clonidine and is well tolerated in the body and produced fast and stable sedation in postsurgical ventilated patients.
