Paromomycin, also known as aminosidine or Humatin, is an aminoglycoside antibiotic recognized for its potent anti-parasitic properties. Additionally, this antibiotic specifically targets ribosomes within parasitic cells, making it preferentially toxic to them and comparatively less harmful to the host cells.
