Acamprosate Calcium (CAS No: 77337-73-6) or calcium-N-acetylhomotaurinate is a drug extensively used for alcohol abuse therapy in sustaining abstinence following alcohol withdrawal. The mechanism of action is supposed to be through inhibition of glutaminergic N-methyl D-aspartate receptors and activation of GABA-georgic receptors.
