Ethambutol EP Impurity B (CAS NO. 10054-06-5) or Ethambutol Related Compound A or Meso-Ethambutol or (R,S)-Ethambutol Or (R*,S*)-2,2′-(1,2-Ethanediyldiimino)bis-1-butanol. Ethambutol is widely used for antituberculosis. It is commercially synthesized from (+) 2-aminobutanol by alkylation with dichloroethane. Its optically active form is (+) dextrorotatory.
