N-Nitroso Dobutamine
N Nitroso dobutamine or N-(3,4-Dihydroxyphenethyl)-N-(4-(4-hydroxyphenyl)butane-2-yl)nitrous amide is a metabolite of dobutamine which is a sympathomimetic amine which is an inotropic agent evaluated for use in congestive heart failure. Dobutamine elevates cardiac output by selectively augmenting stroke volume, and this is accompanied by a diminished total peripheral vascular resistance that is controlled by the reflex withdrawal of sympathetic tone to the vasculature.
