Enalapril Diketopiperazine Acid or (CAS No.115623-21-7) or (S)-2-((3S,8aS)-3-methyl-1,4-dioxohexahydropyrrolo[1,2-a]pyrazin-2(1H)-yl)-4-phenylbutanoic acid. Enalapril is a prodrug that is hydrolyzed after absorption to form the active angiotensin-converting enzyme Enalaprilat. It is administered orally. It decreases blood pressure by lowering peripheral resistance without increasing heart rate. It is well tolerated and safe. It is well tolerated and safe.
