83-73-8: Clioquinol EP Impurity C
Also known as Iodoquinol, it is widely evaluated as a potent compound for therapy of amebiasis. Iodoquinol is also a broad-spectrum anti-tumor lead. It is a potent inhibitor of moderate to high potency on an in-house MCF-7 cell line and depicts its function by reducing NAD levels in MCF-7 cells in concentrations equivalent to half of their IC50s.
