Eplerenone EP Impurity E, also designated Eplerenone 7-beta-Isomer, is a stereoisomeric related substance of the mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist eplerenone, CAS 209253-81-6. With molecular formula C24H30O6 and molecular weight 414.49 g/mol, it differs from the active substance by inversion at the C7 hydroxyl-bearing stereocenter while preserving the lactone and steroidal framework.
