Also known as Citadiol Hydrobromide or Escitalopram Related Compound A , (S)-citadiol is the key intermediate and impurity formed in the synthesis of Escitalopram that is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor used as an antidepressant drug. It is used to treat panic, anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorders of pathological laughing and crying.
