Chemically known as 2,2-Dipropylpentanenitrile. It is an impurity of Valproic acid that is a class I Histone deacetylases inhibitor. It produces differentiation of carcinoma cells transformed into hematopoietic progenitor cells and leukemic blasts in patients with acute leukemia.
