Mit der Summenformel C13H20ClNO3 und einer Molmasse von 273,76 g/mol stellt es ein Oxidations- oder Syntheseumbauprodukt dar, das durch Umwandlung der benzylichen Alkoholgruppe in die entsprechende Carbonylfunktion entsteht. Die Verunreinigung ist für das Impurity-Profiling von Beta2-Agonisten relevant und wird typischerweise mittels LC-MS/MS, HPLC mit Diodenarray-Detektion sowie bestätigendem GC-MS nach Derivatisierung erfasst.
