Empagliflozina R-Furanosa, CAS 1620758-31-7, es una impureza isomérica estructural del inhibidor del cotransportador sodio-glucosa tipo 2 empagliflozina, originada por isomerización del anillo carbohidrato hacia la forma furanosa. Con fórmula molecular C23H27ClO7 y peso molecular de 450.91 g/mol, conserva el motivo arilglucósido clorado, aunque presenta una topología estereoquímica y estereoeléctrica distinta respecto al andamiaje piranósico del fármaco. Su detección y cuantificación suelen requerir LC-MS/MS y LC-MS de alta resolución, con confirmación ortogonal mediante RMN y HPLC en fase reversa o quiral debido a su estrecha similitud fisicoquímica con el principio activo.
