Also known as N-Nitrosodi-n-propylamine, it is a derivative of the N-nitrosamine which produces a high incidence of hepatic tumors in rats, isolated rat liver microsomes metabolize NDPA by both a-oxidation to yield propionaldehyde, n-propanol, and isopropanol.
