Enalapril EP Impurity F (free base) or Enalapril Butyl Ester Analog (CAS No. 76391-34-9.) or (2S)-1-(2-((1-butoxy-1-oxo-4-phenylbutan-2-yl)amino)propanoyl)pyrrolidine-2-carboxylic acid. Enalapril is a prodrug that is hydrolyzed after absorption to form the active angiotensin-converting enzyme Enalaprilat. It is administered orally. It decreases blood pressure by lowering peripheral resistance without increasing heart rate. It is well tolerated and safe.
