Abacavir Related Compound B (CAS No: 141271-12-7) is an impurity of Abacavir that is a carbocyclic 2?-deoxyguanosine nucleoside analog. The mechanism includes its conversion intracellularly to a 2?-deoxyguanosine nucleoside analog that competitively restrains HIV reverse transcriptase and eliminates proviral DNA chain extension.
