Clarithromycin EP Impurity O (CAS No: 127252-80-6) or 6-O-Methylerythromycin A (Z)-9-(O-methyloxime) is a chemical modification of erythromycin. Erythromycin is a macrolide that functions by blocking the translocation reaction at the time of protein synthesis. Erythromycin, except under alkaline conditions, is inactive against Enterobacteriaceae and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
